AFIP is currently running two years F.Sc Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) classes at College of Medical Lab Technology (CMLT) AFIP. Candidates are selected for admission based on eligibility criteria laid down by Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) Islamabad.
No of Seats
Each class consists of maximum of twenty students. Distribution of seats is as follows:
60% reserved for serving lab techs of Army, Rangers and FC who are posted for Lab Tech class I course in AFIP and those posted in medical units at Rawalpindi other than AFIP.
20% seats for permanently posted Army Lab Techs in AFIP with their service tenure less than one year at AFIP.
10% seats for civilian Lab Techs in AFIP on regular permanent employment.
20% seats for civilian Lab Techs not serving in AFIP.

Matric (science) with minimum 55% of marks obtained
Applications are scrutinized and only eligible candidates are given an entrance test at AFIP.
Entrance test consists of MCQs based on Matric (science) level and consists of following subjects:
Only successful candidates will be admitted based on merit conditions.
Application for admission in FSc MLT – First year are called each year in summer.
Fee will be announced at the time of admission opening.
